Bears in Missouri
During my years out west I was surrounded by these amazing creatures, but I didn't expect to come home to Missouri and see them. Hopefully leaving my trail cams out year round will pay off.Although black bears are native to Missouri, they were nearly wiped out during settlement. Now they're making a comeback. Use this section to follow our black bear research project, report bear sightings, camp safely in bear country and control nuisance bears.
